Engine Room Summer Retreat – 3rd to 4th February 2023
The February Summer Engine Room Retreat ran over Friday 3rd and Saturday 4th of February 2023 and the theme was: MONEY, MINDSET & MAGIC.
Over the two days we ran; strategy and planning sessions together a session from both Jason “the money man” Whitton and Paul Rae.
We also had a panel of your fellow Roomies sit down and chat about their amazing Profit First Stories, yes all of that in just 2 days.

DAY 1
The first day of this retreat contained four session all with based on the Retreat theme; Money, Mindset & Magic.

Session 1 – 3W’s with Coach Dean Evans
In this session Coach Dean Evans takes you through how the the 3 W’s from the past 90 days.

Session 2 – Money, Mindset & Magic with Rachael Evans
In this session, Rachael takes you through all how the mindset we all have around money can be holding us back. By completing the exercise you can start seeing what thoughts you currently have and how they are holding you back in moving forward financially.

Session 3 – Jason Whitton
In this session Jason “the money man” Whitton sat down with us and talked about how we can use what we have now to invest in our future along with the many different ways that our money can be working for us.

Session 4 – Mastermind with Dean Evans
The final session of Day 1 was a Mastermind session, giving Roomies the opportunity to talk through ONE specific problem they are currently facing with their fellow Auto Repair Shop owners. These Mastermind sessions run for eight minutes per business so each business can finish up with some clear insights and actions that will enable them to move forward in their business.

DAY 2
The second day of this retreat was filled with more MONEY, MAGIC & MINDSET sessions.

Session 1 – The Profit Prophets Panel
This incredible first session saw 5 business owners come together and sit down to chat about all things Profit First.
These 5 stories really highlighted how huge changes can happen in your business if you follow the Profit First system.
From bring in debt to owing the Tax office and being about to close their doors, the panelist have been their, however today they are all sitting in a different financial position after they learned of Profit First and took the necessary actions in their business.

Session 2 – The financial reports to love your numbers with Paul Rae.

Session 3 – Strategic Planning with Rachael & Dean Evans
This planning session is designed to help you look over what you are currently doing within your business. What do you need to start, stop and keep doing.
You can complete the exercise in the workbook to help you start planning for the next steps to take in your Auto Repair Shop.

Session 4 – Your Game Plan with Rachael Evans
Building your Game Plan is an integral part of your business planning. This systematic approach enable you to have one document that sets the goals for the coming 3-12 months. Then allows you to break in down into manageable steps to allow for a clear vision and road forward.
Using the Game Plan builder doc every quarter you set the vision and theme for the next 90 days.
Note down your boulder, one at most as this will take you anywhere from 3 to 12 months to complete. Then Add your rocks. These are outcomes that will normally be seen in around 1 months time, maximum 2 rocks. Next is your pebbles, the items that take you 1 to 3 weeks to complete. up to 4 pebbles per Game Plan. Finally finish with your Sand items, and no more than 6. These are the smallest action items that will take you up to 1 week to complete.
At the start of each week fill in your project cycle boxes, with you TOPS for that week. Remember make them achievable and only note down 3 – 5 per week.
