                                           DAY 1

It’s day one of our July 2022 Engine Room Retreat and our Engine Roomers are already knee-deep in The Psychology of Success.

Coach Dean kicked off the day with a brainstorm for Psychology of Results followed by guest speaker Russell Ayres, one of our sponsors, who gave a presentation on managing workable time and team clocking in Mechanic Desk!

Key takeaways from Session 1;

  • There’s always an outcome for an action
  • Even doing nothing has a result
  • Results are affected by a number of factors and can stem from your energy, effort, thoughts, and the action of doing
  • You can’t do the same thing over and over and expect a different result – you have to do something different, or do something differently

Russell from Mechanic Desk gave our Roomies an overview of using MD reporting to track time and productivity, but there were a lot of questions in the chat. The Team at WW collected those questions, and we’ll send them to Russell so he can record a Loom video answering those questions!

Session 2 was all about Beliefs vs Decisions. Our Roomies were challenged to think out about the beliefs they have both personally and within their business and the decisions that they have or will make to turn those beliefs around.

Key takeaways from session 2;

We all have our beliefs (and our doubts). Things like:

  • People take advantage of kindness/freedom
  • “I can’t do this”
  • “We’ll never be financially stable”

The Roomies shared their negative self-talk examples in the chat, and it was hardcore.

Coach Dean taught us all what happens next comes down to the decisions we make to overcome those beliefs – watch the video and work through the workbook to find out how to silence those thoughts!

On to a spectacular session 3 with guest speaker Jet Xavier who shared his inspiring story about overcoming adversity and his understanding about what an authentic HIGH PERFORMANCE HUMAN is.

Key takeaways from session 3;

  • Take time to focus on yourself – we often forget to step away from our work and invest time into bettering ourselves
  • Leaders eat first!
  • You must look after yourself before you look after your team
  • TIME is constant, ENERGY is not
  • Any strength taken to an extreme will become a weakness

In Session 4 our roomies were propelled into an 8 Minute Mastermind breakout room with some of their coaches and fellow peers. Questions were posed, clarifying questions were asked, and all of our Engine Roomers left the room with some valuable advice.

                                          DAY 2

On Day 2 of our Engine Room Retreat, everyone turned up bright-eyed and bushy-tailed, ready to take on the day and end the July 2022 retreat with a bang.

The day began with our Roomies sharing their biggest takeaways from Day 1. Here is some of what our Engine Roomers had to say;

  • “ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE” – Steven Lo and Oddy Vongsamphanh
  • “Your personal vision for your life is more important than the business – because it drives the business” – Belinda Zeuschner
  • “Nothing changes around you until something changes within you” – Phil Kolarik

Coach Dean Evans then kicked off with The Identify Shift in Session 1 where our Roomies were put asked to identify who they are, their truths, and their triumphs – an activity that closely resonated with so many.

Key takeaways from Session 1;

  • I am who I think you think I am – this one is from Think Like a Monk by Jay Shetty
  • The one relationship you can never escape is the relationship you have with yourself
  • Things don’t happen to us, they happen for us
  • Your biggest blunders can be your greatest blessings if you let them

We then moved into Session 2 where Coach Dean took us through the Markers of Success using time, money, status and family as key points to identify what your definition of success looks like.

Key takeaways from Session 2;

  • People pleasing is so complex – especially when it comes to family
  • Find your balance between being proud of your success and flaunting it

Our Workshop Whisperer Rachael then got into the nitty-gritty in Session 3 with a strategic plan that had our engine roomers racking their brains to map out their achievements, lessons learned and implement an improvement strategy.

To wrap up the day, Rachael guided the Engine Room through the process of mapping out their Quarterly Game Plan in Session 4.

As always with the Game Plan, the weekly tasks you identify that you need to undertake in order to achieve the goals that are your sand, pebbles, rocks and boulders – those tasks become your TOPS on a Monday. If you want more clarification, tune in on Wednesday 20th June 2022 for Retreat Rewind with Coach Dean Evans (or catch the replay if you’re watching after the fact).

    We hope that the incredible content and advice shared with you over these last two days has left you all inspired and ready to take on the next stages of progress in your business!
